My Community Involvement

Being involved in the local community is very important to me and my business. I realize the responsibility I have to give back to the community that supports me in so many ways. I am committed to helping support several charitable groups and local businesses on Delmarva. Some of the non-profit organizations that I work closely with include the following:

  • Horizons at The Salisbury School : I am the Director of Development for Salisbury Horizons
  • Delmarva Zoological Society: I serve of the Board of D-Z-S
  • Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce: I serve as the chairperson for the Public Relations & Marketing Committee. In 2012, I am working with the Delmarva Chicken Festival Committee and the Chamber Accreditation Committee.
  • Delmarva Public Radio: I pitch on the air during the membership drives to help grow financial commitments and support of the station.
  • Diakonia: I worked directly with the Executive Director on branding, public relations and marketing efforts.
  • Mission of Mercy – I am the Public Relations lead for an initiative called  MOM, which stands for Mission of Mercy.  This organization plans to bring  free dental care over a three day time period, to the Eastern Shore of Maryland in March, 2013.
  • I also co-host a locally produced parenting talk radio show on Delmarva Public Radio called Because I Said So.  My co-hosts and I tackle tough parenting topics and call the experts in for advice so our listeners can learn something from listening.
